Senior Water and Wastewater Designer

We are now looking for a senior water and wastewater designer who has had technical responsibility with extensive experience in water and wastewater network design and expertise in the AMA/SVAMA tool. In this role, you will not only be responsible for technical solutions and quality assurance but also be a key person in developing and strengthening the team's overall competence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a senior water and wastewater designer, you will be a central part of our work to deliver sustainable and high-quality solutions for Stockholm's water and wastewater infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring that technical solutions are sustainable, feasible, and comply with relevant standards. At the same time, with your expertise in the AMA/SVAMA tool and your pedagogical ability, you will be an important cog in supporting the team in both technical and methodological issues.

You will also act as the technical responsible person in our most complex projects and will have the opportunity to influence the development of Stockholm Water and Waste's design operations within the network. You will be part of the Design and Construction Management unit, a group of 13 dedicated employees with high technical competence and an open and supportive work environment.

The position is full-time and permanent, based at our office in Ulvsunda.

In the role of Senior Water and Wastewater Designer, you will among other things:

  • Act as a support pillar, focusing on developing the team's competence in water and wastewater design and the AMA/SVAMA tool
  • Be responsible for technical issues and quality assurance in all phases of design assignments.
  • Develop and implement sustainable technical solutions within the network.
  • Ensure that technical descriptions and designs comply with AMA/SVAMA and other technical frameworks.
  • Participate in internal working groups and contribute to the development of the company's working methods and technical solutions.
  • Lead the work with dimensioning and design of water and wastewater networks.
  • Be a support for colleagues and the team in everything from technical issues to working methods and problem-solving.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Relevant technical education or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way
  • At least 10 years of experience in water and wastewater design with a focus on networks.
  • Solid experience and expertise in the AMA/SVAMA tool, with the ability to teach and spread knowledge about the tool.
  • Previous experience as a technical responsible person in complex projects.
  • Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D and dimensioning of water and wastewater networks.
  • Good knowledge of contract law, especially AB 04.
  • Bas-P/U training and experience with occupational health and safety issues in projects.
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Meritorious: Experience with Stockholm Water and Waste's technical frameworks.
